 Frequencies

The ECARC utilizes a repeater on Rattlesnake Butte located 10 miles northeast of the city of Mountain Home. The repeater has coverage into the Boise area as well as Twin Falls. The Repeater output is 147.340 with the 100hz PL tone.

The following simplex frequencies are also used by the club:

  • 2M 147.540
  • 70CM 447.800
  • 10M 28.340 USB

 ECARC Meetings

 Meetings are held on the first and third Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m. Meetings are held at the Elmore County Amateur Radio Club clubhouse, located at 315 W. Jackson St, Mountain Home, ID 83647.  Someone can be found working in or around the clubhouse almost any day.

Nets

The club net is held each Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. on the 147.340 repeater. There is also an informal afternoon commute home session on the 147.34 repeater M-F at about 4:00 p.m. Area Amateur Radio operators are encouraged to participate in the ECARES net on Sunday evenings at 8:00 p.m. on the 147.340 Repeater.


How to Join

General Membership is open to anyone interested. An amateur radio license is not required to become a member. Membership cost is $20 per year. To join simply fill out an application and enclose a check or money order for $20 and mail it in. Please make checks payable to “Elmore County Amateur Radio Club”.
